Contact us and we’ll put together a quote for you…
Here at Smart T’s we regularly monitor prices to be able to offer competitive rates. If you would like Smart T’s to cost your particular project, please contact us by phone, email or via the Contact page. Your enquiry will be answered promptly with helpful, friendly advice.
Unfortunately manufacturer’s prices for their apparel change regularly – sometimes exchange rates or cotton yields or simply inflation dictate rates making it just not possible to create an on-line cost-calculator. So, please do get in touch or, if you’re feeling brave enough, complete the on-line Print Enquiry form and we will be happy to quote for you.
You can see a small selection of Printed garments in the Custom Gallery – please feel free to click on the Printed Shirts option just below the page title to see them.
- supply your design/logo (print is priced on number of colours required to print the design)
- garment style (T, Polo, Sweat, Hoodie, Rugby, Fleece etc)
- shirt quality (short term wear, regular wear ‘fashion’/’leisure’, regular wear ‘work’ environment)
- colour of logo (will it show on the colour of garment I have chosen?)
- garment colour (will the logo show on this colour garment?)
- quantity (low volume 1 or 2, mid volume 10+ or high volume 100+)
Generally we need to see your design or logo to be able to assess the number of colours (including if a ‘base white*’ is required) which will require you sending the design to us in advance of a quotation being calculated; of course we will be able to use our experience to work from your instruction, without seeing the image but all prices given will be subject to sight of artwork. Any anomalies will be agreed before we proceed so there will never be any unpleasant surprises.
*’base white’ is required when printing onto dark-coloured garments; it acts as an undercoat to give greater opacity for the print colours. It is printed as a silhouette of the entire print image shape, flash-cured and then your design colours are printed on top. There is no charge for applying the ‘base white’ print but we do require a specific screen which is chargeable.
If you use our Design Service to create your artwork we will consider all the aspects discussed to cover all foreseeable needs – sometimes our crystal ball is out on loan so we can only do our best from what you tell us.
You may need greater longevity or possibly higher profile wear meaning you will need to consider the quality and style of the garment you intend to have branded. You may need to look in greater detail at the wash temperatures shown with garments on our on-line catalogues; for heavy soil environs such as ‘mechanics’ or ‘catering’ staff, washing at 60 or 90 degrees may be desirable but makes any print process unwise. Whatever your needs – whether that be durability, longevity or comfort (or all three!) – the end-use will help us to determine the right garment and decoration process to best fulfil your requirements. See our On-Line catalogues for most of our ranges.
Your order of garments may include a mixture of colours and that may necessitate colour changes during the run – it’s absolutely possible but will incur wash-up charges. We will advise on this before agreeing your order.
It may also be wise to consider your design colour(s) from the outset so that mix colours of garments are suitable for the design to show clearly.
Printing prices reduce per unit with greater volume – the more units you order the cheaper each unit becomes; you may order ONE garment to be printed but the make-ready time to prepare the printing press is spread over the number of units of each order – this will make a single item relatively expensive; we are able to advise the “cost-effective” process (possibly “transfer print”, “vinyl print” or “screen print”) subject to the proposed number for your order to allow you to make an informed decision as to how many units to order. Forewarned is forearmed.
Whatever your project, profession or club, if you can answer our questions, we can answer your needs – we’re only a phone call away!

Our turnaround time for new jobs is normally 10 working days from receipt of your artwork, purchase order and payment* but we can often meet urgent deadlines. Rush jobs can often be accommodated but may be subject to a surcharge. We would rather turn you down than let you down so will never accept an order if we know we cannot meet your date.
*subject to artwork quality, proof sign-off, your payment terms may all contribute to the schedule but we will always advise our expectations of your commitment as well as confirming ours to you before accepting your order.
If you are supplying a design or a logo for use in print, please read the following guidelines on how best to send this to us:
We are able to make use of most designs or images that you send us – even a rough sketch! However, if your design requires work by our Designers or Studio Team to make it useable for print, additional artwork charges may apply.
Simple image amendments or ‘tidying up’ we will normally perform free. For complex designs and new creations by our artwork team, our costs are £25 per hour (plus VAT). If you are unsure, please send your artwork file to us for quality control – there is no charge for assessments.
We are able to use many file formats for PRINT but everything is dependant on the quality of resolution; our preferences are vector files, fonts embedded or converted to outline, commonly Illustrator or Photoshop files (ai, eps or psd) but it is possible to use JPG and PDF files subject to quality. Resolution is paramount for a good PRINT job with a minimum quality of 300dpi AT PRINT SIZE; however, low-resolution JPG’s saved at high-resolution does not suffice (otherwise we’d do that!); in the same way as you cannot save a grey scale image in 8 bit colour to produce a colour picture we cannot print from a 72dpi screen grab off the net.
